What is a Conversion Lamp in Hydroponics?

These are the lamps that make it possible to use halide bulb with the sodium ballast. This can be used when the plants are going through the vegetative state, and then perhaps another light can be used to complete the growth of the plant.

So many lamps can be used as conversion lamps. They include the HPS, MH, and Plant Max conversion bulbs, among others. When growing hydroponic plants, there are huge selections of light that usually exist. The selection of light will depend on the type of plant we will be growing and the duration of the growth of the plant to mature.

All conversion grow lights are rated in lumen apart from the Led light. This means they have been designed for the eyes of humans and not the plants. For instance, this does not only mean the brightness since the light may be bright to our eyes and yet accommodating to the plants. Apparently, it has been noticed that in the recent past Led lights have outperformed all the other grow lights in terms of their performance.
